Domain: Permutation statistics

Details
  • Equidistributed with Descents over SnS_n: both are Eulerian statistics
  • A fixed point is neither an excedance nor an antiexcedance, so Excedances+Antiexcedances+FixedPoints=n\mathrm{Excedances} + \mathrm{Antiexcedances} + \mathrm{FixedPoints} = n
  • Defined over Permutation as an expression in _x, evaluated by compute-engine — the definition IS the implementation.
  • Takes a Permutation and nothing else — it reads values against their positions, or walks the orbits, so it needs the bijection. Applying it to a bare list is a type error, not a wrong answer.

Definition

Epsil, as the implementation runs it.

on Permutation, over _x

0 if Length(_x) < 1 else Count(Filter(
                                       Range(1, Length(_x)),
                                       Function(_x[i] > i, i),
                                     ))
