ProtocolProperty

Generated from the engine's own definition: compute-engine's symbol, which we neither extend nor document by hand. No examples yet — the crosswalk is the reason it has a page.

Read (or write) a protocol PROPERTY through a NAMED protocol — the lowering of the qualified field form person.(Nameable.name) (protocols design P6, amending the D16 field grammar). The first two operands name the protocol and the property; the third is the receiver. A fourth operand makes it a property STORE — the qualified write person.(Nameable.name) = v — which invokes the set accessor against the receiver, discards what it returns, and evaluates to the value assigned; a receiver that is not an object is immutable-value-assignment. Dispatch is dynamic and restricted to the named protocol: the most specific conformance implementation for the runtime type of the receiver is invoked.
